Bianca Novaes

Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, and with over 15 years’ experience working as a strategist, Bianca has worked for top agencies in Brazil and the UK – working on some of the world’s most famous brands from McDonald’s, Lurpak, British Airways, Vodafone and Milka.

At Ogilvy London, she led the strategy for the award-winning Mayor of London “Have a word” campaign that tackled male violence against women and girls by turning bystanders into women’s allies – a campaign that transcended traditional advertising and have seen unprecedented levels of action and change, ending up everywhere from the UN to national school education packs.

Her experience includes the strategic development of award-winning campaigns, such as multiple Cannes Lions (including a ‘Glass Lion for Change’ and a ‘Creative Strategy Lion’), Effies, APGs, The Marketing Society, the D&Ads White Pencil and the DMA’s Grand Prix.

She is passionate about all topics to do with social change, female leadership and mentorship, and positive-impact behaviour change. In 2017, she was part of the #FindTheWomanBr initiative that helped map and bring awareness to hundreds of Brazilian women in leadership positions in advertising across the world. In that same year, she also became a mentor of “Elas na Gringa”, a platform created to mentor Brazilian women who wish to work in communication across the world.
