Igor Blystiv has been a Global Marketing and Innovation director at Kormotech since 2013. He is responsible for forming and implementing the company’s marketing strategy in Ukraine and the export markets, managing the company’s brand portfolio, trending and product management, and developing innovations. He is a member of the company’s strategic group.
Igor came to the Kormotekh company as a brand manager in 2005, where two people worked in the department. During 19 years, he grew from a brand manager to a director of marketing and innovation, creating powerful marketing in the company. Today, Igor manages a team of more than 50 people.
While at the company, he developed the marketing and innovation department into separate departments: brand management, innovation, trade marketing, analytics, digital, work with specialized clients, and design.
As a result, “Kormotekh” is the leader in the pet food market in Ukraine (since 2015). The company develops brands in Ukraine, EU, and US markets. Its products are present in 40 countries. The super-premium Optimeal brand has been introduced into the EU and US markets. An innovation department was created to focus on developing product innovations.
At the beginning of the 2022 academic year, Igor became the director of the MSc in Marketing Management master’s program at the UCU Business School. He is also an academic leader and teacher of the “Marketing for Business” management development program. In 2023, Igor created the UA MARKETING CLUB, like a local marketing community in Ukraine. He graduated from the Key Executive MBA master’s program at LvBS and Effective Mentoring through the lens of EQ-Boost.
Building successful Ukrainian brands around the world is Igor’s dream. Today, he sees the development of marketing specialists through training as his task. The new generation of marketers should become the basis for the growth of Ukrainian businesses worldwide.
