A 360° communications expert with 20+ years of experience in agency management and brand stewardship, Mathieu has advised local & international clients in France, Europe and Africa.
He started his career at Young & Rubicam Paris as a Strategic Planner, before moving to Ogilvy & Mather to manage global accounts, then to OgilvyAction (now VMLY&R Commerce), and Cheil, leading the 360° operations of Samsung Electronics France.
Back with Ogilvy in 2014, he drove Ogilvy’s growth agenda in West, East and Central Africa as MD then CEO. In 2020 he moved to Ogilvy South Africa as Chief Growth Officer for the Group, then Chief Client Officer & Head of Advertising, Brand and Content. Ogilvy SA was named in that period Most Creative Agency (Creative Circle), Ideal Agency (Scopen) and Most Effective Agency (Effies).
Mathieu is currently President & CEO of Ogilvy Paris, leading a team of experts in branding & advertising, customer experience & CRM, social & content, PR & Influence, and Consulting.
